Leeds blow as PL rivals reportedly join race for 24-year-old, £10m Radrizzani bid rejected

Leeds United face competition from newly-promoted Premier League side Watford for Lyon star Maxwel Cornet.

, the Hertfordshire-based are keen on the 24-year-old attacker.

The Ligue 1 side are keen to sell the Ivory Coast international this summer. And both Leeds and Watford have emerged as suitors for Cornet.

As , Andrea Radrizzani and company have already had an offer in the region of £10m rejected by the French giants for Cornet.

Lyon reportedly want £20m for the former France youth international. Cornet made 39 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side, scoring four and assisting six.

Cornet could be an intriguing signing for any side this summer given both his age and incredible versatility.

During his career with Lyon, the natural left-sided forward has played in the attack, midfield, in defence as a left-back, and out on the right as a winger.

With squad depth the key for Leeds this summer, Cornet would be a welcome addition to the team.

Marcelo Bielsa is also a fan of players who can operate in multiple roles. And Cornet could see plenty of first-team football at Elland Road should he decide to make the switch from France to Yorkshire.
