Leeds are ‘working on’ signing three Premier League players including Tottenham defender

Leeds United are currently working on deals for three different Premier League defenders as they look to strengthen the ranks.

Daniel Farke is looking for a few reinforcements before the window closes in 10 days’ time and a new defender is high on his list.

Having sent Djed Spence back to Tottenham, Farke now needs to replace that spot in his squad.

And according to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Whites are in talks about three potential signings as it stands at the moment.

Leeds looking at one of three Premier League defenders

Speaking for , Jacobs had the following update on Leeds’ current search for a new defender.

“I think that Leeds are keeping across Ben Davies because, if Tottenham are to make some changes in their squad, he might be the one that becomes available.

“The beauty of Davies is that he can play at left-back and centre-back. Given the need to strengthen, and how little time there is left in the window, Daniel Farke would like versatile players. He feels like Davies – or equivalents to Davies – could almost be seen as a two-for-one signing. Versatile players are going to be given preference. Davies, Ben Johnson and Connor Roberts are the names that Leeds are working on at the moment. It really wouldn’t surprise me if they are active and they get some joy over the course of the next two weeks,” Jacobs said.

Leeds United know that to have any hope of promotion they need to bring players in who are going to improve the first XI.

Money does not seem to be a problem when it comes to loan deals, given the names being mentioned here.

Tottenham star Davies is the most sought after given his experience and quality.

However, with Ange Postecoglou having a number of injuries in his squad, it’s hard to see Spurs allowing the Welsh international to go anywhere right now.
