Leeds are interested in signing £10m Tottenham player
Tottenham Hotspur’s squad depth is proving to be a massive issue at the moment, particularly in defence.
Indeed, Tottenham have tons of defensive injuries on their hands at the moment, and they’re down to the barebones at the back.
Tottenham centre-back injuries | Injury |
Cristian Romero | Quadriceps injury |
Micky van de Ven | Hamstring |
Ben Davies | Hamstring |
Radu Dragusin | Ankle knock |
Archie Gray is happy to play at centre-back for Spurs, but that’s not his natural position.
The last thing Spurs need to do right now is to reduce their defensive depth any further, but according to Ben Jacobs, there is a situation to keep an eye on at Spurs in terms of defensive outgoings.
Ben Davies was linked to Leeds during the summer transfer window, and according to Ben Jacobs, speaking on Last Word on Spurs, Leeds remain keen on Davies and this could be a situation to keep an eye on in the January transfer window.

Leeds interested in Ben Davies
According to Jacobs, Leeds remain keen on Davies, and the Welshman is likely to leave at the end of his contract.
However, the journalist also suggested that Davies could leave this month, stating that this is one to watch in the coming weeks.
“With Ben Davies, I think that he will also be gone. And the same for Fraser Foster as well. With Davies, the natural thing is to run down the contract.
“Leeds United remain interested. So that could be one to watch in the coming weeks. But I think that with Kinsky arriving, Forster falls down the pecking order.”
Ben Davies would add to Leeds’ Welsh cohort
Davies to Leeds is a move that makes a lot of sense. After all, the Whites do have a healthy number of Wales internationals already in their squad.
The Whites have no fewer than five Wales internationals already in their team, while they had Connor Roberts last season too.

Davies to Leeds would make a lot of sense for this reason. He’d be able to quickly settle into this squad, and he’d bring some much-needed Premier League experience ahead of potential promotion at the end of the season.
Indeed, Leeds are flying high at the top of the Championship, and if all goes to plan, the Yorkshire club will be playing Premier League football again in a few months’ time.

Davies has been an excellent servant for Tottenham, but his time in north London appears as though it may be coming to an end.
