Leeds are in pole position to sign ‘one of the best’ players in the Championship
Leeds United are frontrunners in the race to sign ‘one of the best’ players in the Championship this summer transfer window.
The Whites narrowly missed out on automatic promotion last season so the onus will be on Daniel Farke to finish inside the top two this term.
They’ve made a bright start to the window, adding Jayden Bogle from Sheffield United in a £5m deal.
Now, they have turned their attention towards an attacker, with Crystal Palace’s Jerusun Rak-Sakyi being linked in recent days.
Though, it seems a move for a highly-rated Championship player is more advanced at this stage.

Leeds frontrunners to sign Sammie Szmodics
According to , Leeds United are interested in signing Blackburn Rovers’ attacking midfielder Sammie Szmodics.
The West Yorkshire club are thought to be leading the race for his signature along with Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town.

Rovers are desperate to keep him at Ewood Park beyond the summer and have offered a lucrative wage packet.
The 28-year-old is under contract until 2026.
Peterborough owner says Szmodics would guarantee promotion
Szmodics, who is now considered ‘one of the best players’ in the Championship per , polished his skillset at Peterborough United before making the switch to Rovers.
His former owner Darragh MacAnthony recently claimed that the Ireland international would pretty much guarantee promotion for Leeds if he were to make the switch to Elland Road.
“Sammie, if I was Leeds United, because they are going to lose some talent, doing what they have to do to bring in,” MacAnthony told the .
“He is pretty much guaranteeing you promotion because you’re buying the Golden Boot winner. That’s my tip Leeds fans, you should be buying Sammie Szmodics. Sorry Blackburn fans.”
