TBR View: McCarthy a talent, but plenty of Leeds, West Ham fans may not be disappointed by his stance
McCarthy has been an impressive performer in the Premier League for a number of years. He has made over 250 appearances in the top flight during his career. And at 29, he is potentially some way off being finished.
But his reported stance may not disappoint some Leeds and West Ham fans. He unfortunately had a torrid time with injury during the latter stages of his time with the Toffees.
In fairness to McCarthy, he featured in all but five of Palace’s league games this past season. But he failed to provide a goal or assist in the top flight.
So there may be a number of supporters of the rival clubs who are not too disappointed to hear that he is keen to stay where he is this summer.
