Ledley King reacts as Dele Alli joins Everton from Tottenham

𒉰Ledley King has taken to Twitter to send a message to Dele Alli after it was announced on deadline day that the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has joined Everton on a permanent deal.

🀅Dele was one of the last players to move on the final day of the January transfer window. It had appeared that he may be in for a frustrating day.

It was reported earlier in the day🌠 that he was yet to attract a formal offer during the month. However, Everton came calling following the appointment of Frank Lampard at Goodison Park.

🐼The Toffees were unable to sign Dele on loan having already signed two Premier League players for the rest of the season. However, the two clubs were able to thrash out a permanent deal.

ꦍ, the move could ultimately cost Everton £40 million. But the Toffees will only be due to pay the first £10 million once Dele has made 20 appearances for his new club.

🥃It is a sad end to the 25-year-old’s Tottenham career. But it looks to be the right decision for all parties. And following the announcement, King took to social media to send a message to the now-former Spurs star…

Tottenham make smart decision letting Dele join Everton

𓆉Of course, there will be a fear at Tottenham that Dele could rediscover his best form at Goodison Park. He became one of the world’s best attacking midfielders in the early stages of his time in North London.

༒However, Spurs have surely made the right decision to let him leave. He has struggled under several different managers now. And it seemed particularly worrying that Antonio Conte could not find a place for him.

🀅If Dele is a success at Everton, Tottenham could get up to £40 million. And it is going to be incredibly difficult for him to get back to the level he was at previously.

🅠Plenty of Spurs fans will be hoping that he can get his career back on track. But it does appear that Tottenham have made a smart call selling him to Everton.
