Lazio move could reinvigorate Moreno’s career like it did for Lucas

Alberto Moreno is edging closer to a leaving Liverpool during the summer transfer window to join Lazio,

They that the Serie A outfit are keen to take the Spanish defender on a free transfer as a pre-contract agreement moves closer.

Moreno, , earns £65,000 a week at Liverpool, and it is probably time for him to move on because his career has faltered at Anfield.

That was a similar case for Lucas Leiva, who was a fan favourite by the time he left but needed a new lease of life – and that’s exactly what he found at Lazio.

And with Moreno set to join his former Reds team-mate with the Rome outfit, he will be looking for a similar boost.

The Spaniard just needs a new lease of life, to get away from the pressure cooker of Liverpool and to get regular gametime, which he isn’t going to get behind Andy Robertson, who is now the best left-back in the Premier League now.

Robertson is suspended for the first leg of Liverpool’s Champions League quarter-final against Porto next month, but Moreno is set to be snubbed in favour of playing midfielder out of position at left-back.
