‘Are you serious?’: Laura Woods can’t believe what TalkSPORT pundit’s saying about Arsenal now

TalkSPORT duo Laura Woods and Jamie O’Hara were embroiled in a bitter war of words earlier today as they debated Tottenham and Arsenal this season.

Woods, who is a known Arsenal fan and O’Hara, obviously known for his Tottenham links, have had discussions in the past which have threatened to get a tad heated. But today, Woods was at her very best as she ripped into O’Hara and his past comments on the Gunners.

Speaking to each other on this morning, the pair got into a debate about how much of an achievement it would be for Arsenal to make the top four. Woods believes it would be huge, while O’Hara was sticking to his guns suggesting a club like Arsenal should be up there anyway. But Woods wasn’t having any of it.

“You’re not listening to my argument on this. You’re saying they should be (challenging for the top four), but look how far they fell. Look how the teams around them got better and look how much money they’ve all spent. Can I also say, we don’t have a world-class manager, we have a manager right at the beginning of his tenure. So finishing in the top four is an over-achievement for Arsenal,” Woods

“Are you serious? Yeah, they should be, but you’re judging them on what they were, not what they’ve become, you’ve just said it’s been a massive fall from grace.”

TBR’s View: Woods Puts O’Hara In His Place Here

The problem O’Hara has with his argument here is that Woods has remembered all the jibes he has made about the Gunners this last 12 months. He has, at times, ridiculed them and suggested they are a fallen giant.

But his argument is based purely on past glories here. Woods is right, in that Arsenal getting top four this season would be a huge achievement. They weren’t expected to be anywhere near, yet Mikel Arteta has them competing.

Overall, O’Hara came out of this one worse off.
