Latest reports suggest Everton do not want Diego Costa and rightly so
Everton are reportedly interested in the potential transfer of Diego Costa. Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has ‘ordered’ the club to look into a deal for the Atletico Madrid striker.
They claim that Everton are not set to make a move for Costa this summer. His wages would prove a major stumbling block and therefore Everton are not keen on a deal.
Which is easily the right decision to make.

Everton wanted Costa back in 2017. Indeed, Nikola Vlasic confirmed as such when he 19 shirt was not available when he joined Everton. That shirt number was seemingly reserved for the Spanish international.
Two years ago and this deal might have made sense. The Brazilian-born striker had just scored 22 goals with Chelsea and was in fine form.
However, he has managed just 12 goals in the two years since.
Not to mention his disruptive behaviour. Costa effectively went on strike at Chelsea and still has one game of an eight-match suspension to serve for insulting a referee.
On top of his ever-decreasing form and problematic attitude, Costa would have cost a fortune in wages. , Costa is currently earning €8m-a-year (£153,000-a-week) with Los Colchoneros.
Signing him would have been an expensive backward gamble and Everton are right to have moved on.
