Latest Liverpool target is underwhelming after links to German and Belgian stars
Liverpool are being linked with a move for attacking midfielder, Max Kruse.
The Reds are considering swooping for the 31-year-old , with the out-of-contract star leaving Werder Bremen.

Kruse made 94 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit and scored 31 goals.
The versatile attacker also weighed in with 35 assists during his three-year second stint with the club.
Apparently Bayern Munich are also keen on Kruse and view him as possible backup for Robert Lewandowski.

It is a surprise link but his versatility and lack of any transfer fee perhaps make him a genuine option for Jurgen Klopp.
That said, given who else the club have been linked with in recent weeks, his acquisition would be somewhat underwhelming.
TBR’s view
Kruse has racked up some solid stats second time round at Werder, but he is certainly no Thorgan Hazard or Julian Brandt.

Belgian star Hazard was linked with a £35 million move to Anfield last month along with Arsenal ().
German international Brandt emerged as a possible target for the Reds given his enticingly low £21.5 million release clause ().
But both players appear to be on the verge of joining Borussia Dortmund.

Either would have been a superb addition for Liverpool, who may now be forced to swoop for freebie Kruse as a somewhat underwhelming alternative.
