Chelsea now making ‘last attempt’ to sign Victor Osimhen with just hours of deadline day left

Victor Osimhen could still end up a Chelsea player before the deadline passes with the Blues not giving up just yet.

Osimhen’s name has dominated proceedings throughout the day and it looks like it’s going to go right down to the wire for the Nigerian.

Osimhen looked on his way to Al-Ahli after a deal was agreed between the Saudi club and Napoli.

However, Osimhen himself has yet to ok the deal and the striker has apparently been waiting for Chelsea to make a move and convince Napoli to sell.

And with just over three hours of the window to go, it seems like Chelsea are still pushing to sign the forward.

Chelsea making one last push to sign Victor Osimhen

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Osimhen to Chelsea is not yet dead and taking to X to share the latest on the situation, Galetti has said a final attempt is being made.

Osimhen going to the wire for Chelsea

This one really is going to go right down to the last minute but there must be something that Chelsea see here to give them encouragement.

The fact Osimhen has not yet put pen to paper on the Saudi deal suggests there is a belief this deal can get done.

Osimhen would, of course, be a brilliant signing for Chelsea and given their need for a striker, he is ideal.

Quite what this final approach for Osimhen will be, remains to be seen.

But you’d imagine Chelsea are offering something that could tempt Napoli to the table or they’d have simply called off negotiations as it stands.

Osimhen to Chelsea very much looks like it could be on as it stands and if it gets over the line, it will be quite the story to end the day.
