‘Lamela replacement?’: Tottenham fans react as Ryan Sessegon wins Hoffenheim player of the month
Tottenham fans were singing the praises of Ryan Sessegnon yesterday as the young winger was voted as Hoffenheim’s player of the month for November.
Sessegnon, 20, is enjoying a spell out on loan from Spurs, with Hoffenheim the beneficiaries of the deal it seems.
The young flyer has been a regular for the German outfit and enjoyed a fruitful November, scoring and assisting and playing all four games as Hoffenheim drew two and lost two.

Jose Mourinho is said to be a fan of Sessegnon but with little first XI chances at Spurs, opted to send the former Fulham man out on loan to the Bundesliga to gain vital first-team experience. And it seems it’s paying off for both Mourinho and Sessegnon.
Some Spurs fans, then, were loving the news and took to Twitter to give their thoughts on Sessegnon’s present and future role.
Lamela replacement 👀

Glad our future players are growing

Considering he has only had 4 starts, he has scored 1 and assisted 1 too. This is a good start for him as no player at Hoffenheim as assisted more than 1 goal.

It’s honestly great to see this, he has loads of talent but the confidence just wasn’t there. Now he’s bossing it at a club where he will get constant minutes and will hopefully come back ready to show what he can do.

Ngl he could actually be better than or equal to Regulon. Will give more competition to Reggie when he replaces Ben Davies as the sub for Reggie.

Really happy he’s doing so well. Hopefully Jose still sees him as part of his plans and he can come back to us and cement himself as part of the first team.

There’s a proper player in there. Hope this spell he finds belief to prove it when he returns
