‘Laca plus 10m’: Some Arsenal fans want to sign ‘top notch’ 22-year-old amid links

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the reports claiming the Gunners remain keen on Houssem Aouar heading towards the summer window.

The Gunners have been linked with the Lyon midfielder since last year, and in September, even claimed they were frontrunners for his signature.

Since then, Arsenal have bolstered their creative midfield ranks, with Emile Smith Rowe breaking into the first team and Martin Odegaard signing on loan from Real Madrid.

According to , however, the Gunners are still interested in Aouar, but they’d have to compete with Manchester City and Juventus for the 22-year-old’s services.

Il , meanwhile, claims that Lyon will go no lower than 55m Euro (around £48million) for the France international, who is being “tightly monitored” by the Gunners and Citizens.

Although Smith Rowe and Odegaard are doing well at the moment, the latter’s Emirates Stadium future is unclear, and in that case, Mikel Arteta would need to bring someone else in.

Come Summer.
I’ll still take Aouar ahead of Odegaard if we can afford him
He’s everything we need in that midfield.
An elite ball progressor with quick feet.
He also a dribbling outlet, can make that final pass.
Quick thinking and he has a good shot on him
