Kyle Walker says he’s been so impressed by one player at Arsenal recently, ‘it’s madness’

Arsenal have had a strange few months to say the least.

The Gunners’ Premier League form has been very up and down recently, as they’ve dropped points to the likes of West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace.

However, in the Champions League, the Gunners have been brilliant.

Indeed, while Real Madrid were expected to beat Arsenal, the Gunners thumped the European champions 5-1 on aggregate and now a date with destiny in the semi-finals vs PSG awaits.

Declan Rice has earned huge praise recently for his showings, but, inevitably, Bukayo Saka has been one of the Gunners’ best performers as of late.

Speaking on his podcast, Kyle Walker has been discussing Saka’s return from injury, and he says he’s been so impressed by how the winger has performed as of late.

Kyle Walker blown away by Bukayo Saka

Walker spoke about Saka’s return from injury and how good he has been since coming back.

The AC Milan star says that he has to take his hat off to Saka, claiming that his ability to bounce back from injury so quickly is ‘madness’.

“Saka is a lovable character. I think the numbers speak for himself, what he’s come and done. And to be at a club like Arsenal, his age and take on the role and responsibilities that he has done, I think you have to take your hat off to him,” Walker said.

“To come back after surgery and within seven minutes scoring, it’s madness, it just sums, you know, B up as a person and the hard work and dedication, I know it will have put in to make sure that he’s, you know, back helping the team as quickly as possible.”

Bukayo Saka stats since returning from injury

Walker says he’s been impressed by Saka since his return from injury, and while he’s not quite back to his best just yet, he has been brilliant.

Saka has only scored two goals, but those goals were both fantastic.

To score after just seven minutes against Fulham was huge for Saka after his return from injury, while it doesn’t get any bigger than scoring against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

Saka’s stats since his return haven’t been great, granted, but he is getting back to his best, and he has shown that he can step up on the big occasions.

Don’t be surprised if Saka is the player who has the final word in the upcoming crucial Champions League tie.
