Kyle Walker decides to stay in Europe after leaving Man City

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has been notified that despite the Saudi Pro League earmarking the Englishman as one of their priority targets heading into the summer, he has informed City that his sights are set on exploring other options.

While Manchester City will not stand in Walker’s path, they would be open to sending him out on loan this month before looking to sell the decorated defender on a permanent basis in the summer.

TBR Football confirmed Real Madrid are keen to sign Walker on loan while AC Milan held talks to secure the 34-year-old’s services as well.

The Saudi Pro League remain interested in signing the six-time Premier League winner, with clubs like Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al Hilal signing Manchester City players such as Riyad Mahrez, Aymeric Laporte and Joao Cancelo respectively in the past.

But TBR Football understands that AC Milan are the favourites to land Walker this month.

The Italian giants are willing to offer Walker, who Destiny Udogie lauded a multi-year contract as well.

But TBR Football can confirm that Bayern Munich have enquired about the treble-winner’s situation as well.

While Inter Milan have also taken a look at the the treble-winner’s situation.

The latest on Kyle Walker’s future from Pep Guardiola

Pep Guardiola was quizzed about Walker’s future in his latest press conference and he revealed that he told the revered right-back that his future will be decided by the state of the winter market.

Guardiola said via BeanymanSports: “Listen, I explained what I explained and I won’t go more forward than that.”

“I said to him, now is the question of the market, he’s an incredible player with an incredible physicality, when he’s focused, he’s unstoppable as a right-back, he’s a top-class player, he’s fit because he’s fit in the mind, he can play one, two, three four more years as a professional because I’ve never seen a player with these physical conditions in my career.”

“Of course, I never, never, never, ever [stop] the desire of one player but of course, it has to be an agreement with the clubs and that, I’m sorry, I never, ever, ever, I was involved. Never, ever. Never.”

Pep Guardiola added that Walker is free to explore a move elsewhere, saying: “I think I was clear all the time.”

“If he wants to explore, the club explores and he has to decide, not me, I’m sorry, it’s not my decision.”

TBR Football have previously reported that Jeremie Frimpong interests Manchester City as Walker’s time at the Etihad Stadium looks set to come to an end.

Manchester City are interested in Nicolo Savona as well, as they feel the Juventus right-back has the attributes to function as a centre-back in their system, with the Sky Blues always being prepared for the veteran’s departure one day.
