Former Celtic star Kris Commons has said in his column that Hatem Abd Elhamed is due a run in the side.
The Hoops produced a substandard display at Kilmarnock yesterday and were fortunate to leave with a share of the spoils.
Chris Burke’s penalty kick cancelled out Ryan Christie’s stunning free-kick, ensuring a frustrating afternoon for Celtic.

Commons believes boss Neil Lennon has some decisions to make defensively and believes Elhamed is due a run.
“Beyond the centre-backs, Greg Taylor is a solid left-back but he’s obviously a downgrade on Kieran Tierney.
“I know for a fact that the club are in the market for another left-back, so you’d think Boli Bolingoli would be on his way out the door if an offer came in.
“Jeremie Frimpong is a huge talent, but he’s still a young boy and will make mistakes. Hatem Abd Elhamed is probably the most natural defender Celtic have. I’d give him a run at centre-back.”
Elhamed signed for the Hoops for £1.6 million in July 2019 from Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
The Israeli struggled with injuries last season, playing just 14 times for the club.
He has been introduced as a substitute in both of Celtic’s league games so far and perhaps a start is just around the corner.

The 29-year-old has five caps for the Israel national team and could prove to be a decent player for the Hoops.
Christopher Jullien and Kristoffer Ajer were both out of sorts yesterday, with the Frenchman in particular given a torrid time.
Elhamed coming in and taking some of the spotlight away from Jullien could be just the tonic during the next few games for Celtic.
