Kris Boyd that Connor Goldson now understands what it means to be a Rangers player, and lauded the improvement that the Ibrox stalwart has made.
Goldson has not always had the easiest time since joining the Gers. But one thing he has had is Steven Gerrard’s trust, with the 27-year-old making 129 appearances for the club in all competitions.

It has often been the man playing alongside him who has been rotated. And that has occasionally seen Gerrard come in for criticism, with some questioning why the centre-back has kept his place at times.
However, Goldson appears to have turned a corner this term. He has been excellent in the opening weeks of the season, with his partnership with Filip Helander looking particularly impressive.
And Goldson’s development prompted Boyd to pick the Englishman as he named a combined Old Firm XI ahead of this weekend’s clash.

“Connor has been Steven Gerrard’s go-to man,” . “I think he now understands what it takes to be a Rangers player. He seems to have cut out the silly mistakes and you can see more in his game than just defending. He can play from the back too.”
Goldson’s progress appears to have been massive for Rangers this season. The Gers look incredibly strong at the back, keeping 10 clean sheets already in all competitions.
It is going to be a tough test for the Light Blues at Parkhead this weekend. But based on the way Goldson and Rangers’s defence were performing before the international break, it should probably come as little surprise if they do manage to make it 11 clean sheets for the campaign.
