Kostas Tsimikas has called Fabinho his ‘idol’ after Liverpool announced his new contract yesterday.

Fabinho put pen to paper on a new deal at Liverpool yesterday which will keep him at the club until 2026.
The Brazilian was quick to post a message on his Instagram after penning the new deal.
And a number of his Liverpool teammates were obviously delighted with the news.

Fabinho putting pen to paper is a major boost for Liverpool, who are looking to keep their squad together.
The Reds haven’t been particularly active this summer, but all reports suggest that their main priority is to keep the core of their team in place.
Fabinho is one of the stand out defensive midfielders in the Premier League and at the age of 27 he could be a mainstay in the Reds’ side for some time yet.
Tsimikas, meanwhile, is under pressure to deliver a big season at Anfield.
The Greek international was signed by Liverpool last summer, but he failed to make much of an impact during his first year on Merseyside.
