Kortney Hause asked about Aston Villa permanently signing Tyrone Mings

Kortney Hause has responded hilariously to a fan on Instagram when asked what he would do if Tyrone Mings did not sign for Aston Villa on a permanent basis – claiming he would delete Mings’ number.

Hause, 23, joined Villa on a permanent basis this summer after joining the club on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers. Villa have spent £3million to nab Hause beyond his loan.

The versatile defender joined Villa on loan at the same time as Mings, but the latter is yet to complete a permanent move though reports have suggested that Dean Smith’s side are pursuing a £15million deal ().

Asked by a Villa fan on Instagram what he would do if the Midlands club fail to complete a deal to land the Bournemouth defender, and Hause reacted by joking that he would delete Mings’ phone number.

TBR’s view – Hause is right, Mings is a must

Villa desperately need Mings. The colossal centre-back starred for Villa last season, proving to be a crucial part of the Championship side’s push for the play-offs – and then shining in the play-off final.

£15million for an English centre-back with Premier League experience that is in the prime of his career is somewhat cheap these days, but Villa need him perhaps more importantly due to a lack of options.

Hause’s move has eased the situation somewhat, but Mings, Axel Tuanzebe and Tommy Elphick have all left Villa this summer. It leaves just Hause and James Chester, but the club have got to sign Mings.
