Klopp suggests linked-away Liverpool man will stay put for 2019/20
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted he is aware of the clamour for Xherdan Shaqiri to play more at Anfield.
The £13 million signing from Stoke City () experienced an indifferent 2018/19, after starting brightly but then fading into the shadows.

Shaqiri produced some brilliant form at the start of the season, but began to see less game time as Klopp favoured the likes of Naby Keita, James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and Divock Origi.
The Switzerland international only started 11 times in the Premier League, with a further 13 appearances from off the bench.
His lack of game time has led to speculation he could leave.
But Klopp has seemingly suggested he won’t be going anywhere this summer.

in which he was shown a photograph of Shaqiri as a child, he said: “What a wonderful player and wonderful ambassador for his country.
“So I am really happy to have him around. I know people think I didn’t play him often enough.”
“He probably thinks the same. But what an important player for us all season.”
TBR’s view
Klopp probably values Shaqiri highly – he just hasn’t been able to squeeze him into the team as much as he’d perhaps liked though.

The German has huge trust in the likes of captain Henderson, Wijnaldum and Milner, while summer signing Fabinho has made the holding midfield role his own, prompting slight position alterations for the others.
The fond manner in which Klopp spoke suggests that he will be around next season, despite recent reports of interest from West Ham United ().
