‘Looked very good’: Klopp claims 26-year-old looked great in Liverpool training yesterday, could play vs Cardiff
It’s back to action for Liverpool this weekend as they take on Cardiff City in the FA Cup, with Jurgen Klopp once again left without AFCON stars Sadio Mane and Mo Salah, who will face off in the AFCON final.
The Reds boss is desperate to win the FA Cup, with the trophy having eluded Liverpool for 15 years now. A game against Cardiff, of course, gives the Reds the ideal chance to progress. The Bluebirds are struggling in the Championship, so there is an expectancy on Klopp’s men to win out this weekend.

One man who could get his chance in the starting XI, is Belgian striker, Divock Origi. The forward has remained in Liverpool, despite plenty of talk of a January exit last month. And Klopp, this afternoon, confirmed that Origi is indeed back in action.
“Divock, yesterday, first time team training, looked very good, but it was the first time full team training after a while, so from here we go as well,” Klopp .
Origi has remained a part of the Liverpool squad, despite interest from elsewhere. The January arrival of Luis Diaz is likely to push Origi further down the pecking order too.
TBR’s View: Origi Still A Role To Play For Liverpool
You just get the feeling that Divock Origi has one last big moment in his locker with Liverpool. And what a fitting way for him to sign off on Merseyside than delivering the FA Cup.
Origi has proven time and again that he is the perfect squad and role player. Goals in Champions League games, derby games, and more, have ensured he is a Liverpool legend.
The arrival of Diaz will have sent Origi down the pecking order. However, the Belgian will no doubt be keen to leave one more mark on his Anfield tenure.
