Klopp says Liverpool 23-year-old is ‘already world-class,’ but can improve even more

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The 23-year-old full-back had a difficult spell last season, but he is showing his class again this term. He has been brilliant for the Reds recently, and Klopp is absolutely delighted with his performances.
Alexander-Arnold is undoubtedly among the best attacking full-backs in the world. He has picked up 10 assists already, which is a world-class return, but Klopp believes he can become even better.
Here’s what the Liverpool boss said in his latest press conference…
Klopp: Trent Alexander-Arnold is already a world-class player, but he can improve even more
The German said, as per : “We adapt our game to his skills, he puts in his skills in our different plans.
“He obviously plays different positions; ‘different positions’ on the pitch meanwhile than in the beginning because he’s just a much more mature player. He’s a more confident player, he is much more settled in all different parts of the game.
“For us, of course, he is still in the right-back position to defend especially. Then, he’s a right-winger, then he’s an eight, is a six, is a playmaker. He’s a lot of different things for us and enjoys it, he enjoys himself on the pitch, you can see that.
“It is to improve his game and there is enough space and enough time for him to improve his game in so many parts: reading situations better, dealing with situations better, so many parts of the game he can improve and he is already a world-class player.”

TBR View:
The fact that Trent Alexander-Arnold is so good when he’s still only 23 is really exciting for Liverpool fans. The Englishman is up there with the best in the league already, but he could become so much better in a few years time.
12 goal contributions in 18 appearances is an outrageous return for a defender. He is slowly getting back to his best and at this rate, he will give Gareth Southgate a big headache when he’s picking the next England squad.
It will be interesting to see how much more Alexander-Arnold can improve in the next year. It’s scary for Liverpool’s opponents that he can get even better, but if he puts his head down, works hard and listens to everything Klopp says, he has every chance to become one of the best right-backs in the club’s history.
