Klopp has provided a cryptic update on Salah’s contract talks.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s trip to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, Jurgen Klopp was asked about Mo Salah.
Salah is in the best form of his life having scored in his last eight games for Liverpool.
However, his contract expires in summer 2023.
That’s led to plenty of talk about his future, with everyone at Anfield desperate to tie him down to a new contract.
reported over the weekend that Salah’s agent was in England to discuss a £500k-a-week deal for the Egyptian.
However, when Jurgen Klopp was asked about his star man’s contract situation he gave a cryptic response.

Liverpool face Atletico Madrid away in the Champions League tomorrow and it was during the pre-match press conference that he spoke.
The was asked whether Salah’s form makes these situations easier, to which he said:
“I don’t know, we will see.”

This won’t give the fans any major confidence.
Klopp’s reluctance to talk about the matter won’t give the supporters any added confidence.
If anything, his cryptic response will likely set a few fans off into a panic.
For now, though, all the fans can do is get behind Salah and remind him why it’s so great to be an Anfield hero.
If he can see them past Atletico Madrid then it will certainly be another reason to get signed on a new long-term deal.
