Ornstein through Jurgen Klopp’s transfer plans for the summer, explaining that Sturridge, Alberto Moreno and Nathaniel Clyne could all be set to leave.

He : “Jurgen Klopp is all about versatile players, which leads us onto… a possible attacker, if Daniel Sturridge leaves, but it won’t be a number nine replacement – it would be a versatile attacker

“Jurgen Klopp loves the predator that he feels Rhian Brewster is, so he would feature. Divock Origi will stay even if that means he leaves on a Bosman free transfer next summer.”

Brewster has been tipped as an outstanding talent at Anfield for a while now, with his performances as England won the England Under 17 World Cup back in 2017 attracting global attention.

Forcing a way into an elite frontline is no easy task for a young English player, but Klopp’s lack of reliable attacking depth creates an opportunity for Brewster, not to mention the likes of Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn.

Sturridge, who earns £130,000 a week () at Anfield is a talented striker but his work-rate and injury record leave something to be desired, and that’s where Brewster comes in.

He is likely to be willing to bide his time but has the talent, energy and quality to make a genuine difference up front next season if he is given the opportunity.
