Kieran Tierney admits he ‘misses everything about’ Celtic

Former Celtic defender, Kieran Tierney, has admitted he misses everything about the club despite a summer move to Arsenal.

Tierney has struggled to get going for the Gunners thanks to injuries and fitness issues. However, the 22-year-old showed more than enough during his time in Scotland to suggest he’ll be a success.

However, last night, Tierney admitted he does miss being at Celtic.

“I miss everything about Celtic. And I always will,” Tierney .

“I am very grateful for every second I spent playing for the club.”

Tierney built a reputation for himself as one of the finest full-backs in Europe during his time with the Bhoys. That form and reputation convinced Arsenal to pay around £25m for the 22-year-old. (

The defender will be hoping that he can use the current break in football to his advantage. In the same interview, he admitted he was working hard on his fitness.

Arsenal, too, will be hoping to see the best of Tierney next season. Given the club spent £25m on him, the defender will no doubt be keen to repay the Gunners’ faith in him.

Comments like these are always nice to hear from players who’ve left your club.

Tierney was a popular figure at Celtic Park and will, no doubt, be welcomed back one day. However, for now, he has a lot to prove and be getting on with at Arsenal.

The young full-back will be desperate to get going for the Gunners. His superb form for Celtic means there is definitely a top player in there.

Hopefully, once back to full fitness and firing on all cylinders, Tierney can show what he’s all about to Gunners fans.
