Kevin Campbell tips Albert Sambi Lokonga to start for Arsenal against Tottenham
Arsenal take on Tottenham today in a big Super Sunday clash and Mikel Arteta has himself a clean bill of health to pick his squad from.
The likes of Granit Xhaka are back in contention, while big players such as Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka, and Thomas Partey are all fit and ready to go in North London.

Xhaka’s return in the big talking point, really. Some Arsenal fans have been fearful the Swiss midfielder might be chucked straight back into the mix. Of course, that’s not to say Xhaka is not capable in such a big game.

But Gunners fans, in the main, have been clamouring for young midfielder, Albert Sambi Lokonga to get the nod. And according to former striker Kevin Campbell, the summer signing is more than ready.
Speaking on the podcast ahead of this weekend, Campbell said Lokonga is ready to play such a big game.
“How else does a young international – supremely gifted – get ready for the North London derby other than playing it?.”
“He can play against Chelsea and all the others. Why is he not ready? He’s ready. He’s more than ready,” Campbell commented.

He’s already proven it, too. Mikel Arteta has put his faith in the young midfielder and he’s repaid his manager with some good performances.
Lokonga brings a new energy and calmness to the Arsenal midfield. We know what Xhaka is all about, of course we do. But Gunners fans have really taken to the likes of Lokonga and fellow new boy, Aaron Ramsdale.
If ever there was a game for Lokonga to make an even bigger mark, then it’s this one against Tottenham today.
