Kevin Campbell reacts as Laurent Koscielny reportedly nears Arsenal exit
Kevin Campbell has reacted on Twitter with a brutally honest verdict, as Laurent Koscielny reportedly looks set to leave Arsenal and join French side Bordeaux for just £4.6million.
The Arsenal defender turns 34 in September but has angered management and many fans for his behavour during the summer, despite being the club’s captain at the time. Indeed, it has pushed through a move.
The France star refused to fly to the US with the rest of the squad ahead of the club’s pre-season tour, as he vied for a move away from north London. that move is close, with a medical scheduled for Tuesday.
Former Arsenal striker Campbell reacted to the news that Koscielny looks set to leave Arsenal after 353 appearances for the north London outfit, and he Tweeted “good riddance”.
Good riddance 😤😉👍🏿

TBR’s view – Koscielny has tainted excellent Arsenal stay
Nine years Koscielny has spent at Arsenal, winning three FA Cups in the process. He has earned all of his 51 France caps during his time in north London, and become regarded as one of the Premier League’s best in his prime.
But his decision to stay at home and abstain from Arsenal’s pre-season tour is shambolic. No longer will Arsenal fans remember his passionate displays for the Gunners, but they will remember him for the wrong reasons.
Campbell’s reactions sums this up, with the feeling now that he needs to go – rather than be kept until his contract expires in June 2020.
