Kevin Campbell impressed by latest Everton signing Abdoulaye Doucoure
Kevin Campbell has given a glowing verdict on about Everton’s latest signing Abdoulaye Doucoure, who joined on Tuesday evening from Watford.
The 27-year-old central midfielder has completed a move to Goodison Park on a three-year deal from Watford, who are preparing for life in the Championship following their relegation last season.
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has now managed to make three impressive additions already this summer, as Doucoure follows Allan and James Rodriguez as fresh faces at the club.
Doucoure already has a wealth of Premier League experience under his belt and is someone that has shown he really suits English football.
The Frenchman is a powerhouse midfielder that can do the ugly defensive work in front of the four with aggressive tackles and interceptions, but is a strong ball carrier too that can push forward and score goals.
Ex-Everton player Campbell believes he’s a “great addition” for his former club.
Great addition in the engine room! Physicality, running power and a smart player! 😉👍🏿⭐️💙⚽️

TBR’s View:
It seemed obvious to every Everton supporter last season that the team were lightweight in the centre of the park and a 12th-placed finish in the Premier League was certainly underwhelming.
But Ancelotti appears to have fixed that in one window, as a midfield axis of Allan and Doucoure surely has the potential to be a brilliant one.
Doucoure is coming to the peak years of his career and has been linked heavily with Everton in the past, so it’s easy to see him hitting the ground running and bringing his all-action style to the XI.
