that Arsenal were in talks to si🍸gn the 26-year-old from Diego Simeone’s side, and are willing to meet the powerhouse’s £42million release clause. However, Atleti are not going down without a fight.

Indeed, Atleti areꦇ in contract talks with Partey’s representatives and are keen to offer him a new 𒈔deal – not only to improve his terms, but to remove the release clause currently interesting Arsenal.

TBR’s view – Arteta looking to bring in midfield steel

With 💮Dani Ceballos unlikely to sign a permanent deal at The Emirates after a difficult season on loan f﷽rom Real Madrid, Arsenal will be somewhat lightweight in midfield – with Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi the only options.

Arteta certainly needs one, if not two central midfielders with another Europa League campaign potentially on the horizon. Partey would be stunning addition, gi𓆉ven he fits into Arteta’s aggressive, powerful style of football.

At just £42m, Arsenal would be landing themselves a bargain in Partey who certa𓄧inly has plenty more years at the top level – given he has managed only around 200 s꧒enior appearances at professional level.
