Kenny Miller claims Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard keeps getting better

Kenny Miller praised Celtic attacker Odsonne Edouard following his performance in the win over CRF Cluj on Thursday night.

The Bhoys recorded a convincing 2-0 home victory against Romanian outfit Cluj, who previously knocked them out of Champions League qualifying earlier in the season.

Neil Lennon’s team got their revenge in the Europa League group stages with a win at Parkhead and Edouard opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a header.

Mohamed Elyounoussi made sure of three points in the second-half with his deflected strike from the edge of the box and it was a solid European performance by the Scottish champions.

Ex-Celtic striker Miller singled out Edouard for his positive display and was blown away by the quality of the Frenchman.

“He is getting better as every game passes. Edouard in the right position [for his goal], he will get a lot of goals in there whether it be tap-ins, with feet or headers,”

TBR’s View:

Edouard has taken his game up another level this season and the goal machine looks like scoring whenever he enters the pitch.

The centre-forward has made 16 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring nine goals and supplying five assists in return.

He popped up with a vital header against Cluj on Thursday night and his movement in the penalty box made it a simple finish.

The 21-year-old has so much potential to get even better and that will happen as he gets more experience.

Lennon’s side look like they could be a success in the Europa League this season and the bare minimum has to be to get out of the groups after four points from the opening two matches.
