Kenny can emulate Holgate’s success if he leaves Goodison on loan this summer
Everton are considering letting Jonjoe Kenny leave Goodison Park on loan this summer,
They that Marco Silva is planning to retain Seamus Coleman as his first-choice right back next season, despite the Republic of Ireland international having endured a tricky season at times.
And Silva has not ruled out the prospect of Kenny leaving on loan, especially with fellow young right back Mason Holgate set to return from his loan spell at West Brom.
Silva : “It is one conversation we will have to decide the best situation with Jonjoe. To stay, and keep his competition with Seamus Coleman, decide if we want another season of him and Seamus competing or if it would be better for him to play often and often to become stronger. It is one decision we will take next week.”

On the subject of Holgate, while the two players may be in competition at Goodison Park as young players battling for the same position, Kenny can take inspiration from his successful loan spell at the Hawthorns this season.
Holgate may have missed a penalty last night as the Baggies missed out on a place in the Championship play-off final but he has been a reliable performer given a run of regular games in the second tier.
Kenny will hope to do the same to make the most of the opportunity if he is moved away from Goodison Park this summer – with a view to returning to stake a claim for the long-term right back slot on Merseyside.
