‘Keep the dream alive’: Celtic and Rangers hailed by UEFA president in Super League appeal
ꦐThe president of UEFA has cited Celtic and Rangers as examples of clubs who are integral to European competition.
It was revealed on Sunday night that Arsenalꦓ, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Milan, Real Madrid and Tottenham had formed a European Super League.
෴The move has been roundly condemned by fans, players and pundits.
♒Speaking at the 45th Ordinary UEFA Congress on Tuesday, Aleksander Čeferin delivered a strong message to the breakaway 12.
🐟As quoted by , Čeferin said: “Football does not belong to anyone. Or rather, it belongs to everyone, because football is part of our heritage.
☂“Respect for history. Respect for tradition. Respect for others. This means something.

Celticꦯ won the European Cup in 1967 and reached the UEFA Cup Final in 2003.
ಞRangers won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1972 and were UEFA Cup finalists in 2008.
