‘Keep an eye on Tottenham’…Spurs could move to sign ‘magic’ £30m winger if Timo Werner departs

Tottenham are looking at improving the squad this summer and could make a move for one of Serie A’s most exciting wingers.

Spurs are looking to improve the squad and Ange Postecoglou will be keen for backing in the summer market.

The last two windows have been a success for Postecoglou and Spurs, with the likes of Radu Dragusin, Mickey van de Ven and goalkeeper, Vicario, all impressing since signing.

Of course, Spurs also moved in January to bring in Timo Werner on loan.

However, there remains doubts over whether the German will be signed permanently, with a lack of goals once again being a problem for Werner.

And according to journalist Ben Jacobs, Tottenham could well make a move for Bologna winger Albert Gudmundsson to replace Werner.

Tottenham in mix to sign Albert Gudmundsson

Speaking about the Bologna winger on , journalist Jacobs has said that Tottenham are the English team to watch when it comes to Gudmundsson.

“One club to look out for is Tottenham, who are tracking the player. Juventus have also been made aware of the terms of any possible deal. There is some interest in Serie A and I think Tottenham from the Premier League is one to watch as well,” Jacobs .

“I would keep an eye on Tottenham. If for example Timo Werner doesn’t have that option, then they’ll be looking for that versatile sort of player.”

Spurs need new faces

Tottenham have done well to keep going this season and have kept themselves in the mix for the Champions League places.

However, their squad is not what it could be and with the club apparently in a good position financially, fans are expecting new arrivals this summer.

A player like the ‘‘ Gudmundsson would make sense.

This is a winger who can play either side and score goals and much like Dejan Kulusevski, he brings a goal threat having proved himself in Italy.

Gudmundsson, then, could well be a smart signing.
