Kalvin Phillips drops hint over who he thinks will win Premier League title and who’ll finish second this season
The Premier League title race has taken shape and one team is now firmly in the driving seat for the trophy.
Liverpool are currently six points clear at the Premier League summit, with Arsenal getting themselves in💎 second place on Fr🔜iday.
The Gunners’ 🎐1-0 win over Ipswich Town saw Mikel Arteta’s side leapfrog third-placed Chelsea and fourth-placed Nottingham Forest.
Meanwhile, reigning champions Manchester City are effectively out of contention already🦩 due to a woeful run of form which has s😼een them slip to seventh place.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, two other teams init🔴ially tippeಌd to be in and around the title race, are currently in the bottom half of the table.
Manchester City loanee Kalvin Phillips, who played for Ipswich against Arsenal, dropped a hint over who he thin🅘ks will finish in the top two this season.

Arsenal tipped to be team ‘closest’ to Liverpool at end of season
Phillips, speaking after the game, called Arsenal a “💖very good team” and backed them to be “the team that’s closest” to Liverpool at the end of the season.
“Arsenal are a very good team, they ꦓcreated quite a few chances, but in the second half we could have turned the game around,” Phillips said☂, as per .
“In theও second half we forced a few mistakes, created some chances but ꦏjust didn’t have the finish for them. I felt okay, I was blowing, but they keep us fit.
“Arsenal are a really strong team, Liverꦇpool have been the standout team in the Premier League but I think Arsenal will be the team that’s closest to them at the end.”
Why Liverpool are ahead of the chasing pack
Former Manchester United and Manchester City ace Owen Hargreaves recently claimed that Liverpool are♎ the only Premier League team t⛦hat don’t have a weakness at present.
He said after the 3-1 win over Leicester City: “I think they’re the only team in the Premier League without a weakness. Goalkeeper, defence, midfield, attack. Best🅰 attack b🅺y a country mile.
“Brilliant manager, emotionally intelligent, makes decisions atౠ the right time. They’re steamrollering everybody right now.”
Much like the 2015-16 campaign, which was won by Leicester City, this is proving to be a season ⛦of transition for most of the Premier League big boys.
Liverpool were expected to be in that camp after Slot re🐼placed Jurgen Klopp, but he has well and truly hit the gr𓂃ound running at Anfield.
Klopp deserves a lot of credit too for leaving the Reds squad and setup in great coꦐndition for Slot to take ov🤪er seamlessly.
Out of all the other teams, Arsenal were probably the only team going into the season as ready as they could be, but even ๊then, their lack𓂃 of No. 9 is worrying.
Chelsea and Tottenham are at🌟 the start of a cycle, Man City are at the end of theirs, and Man United have a lot of work to do to get themselves in a position to properly start one.
