Kalvin Phillips delivers Bukayo Saka verdict that Arsenal star will ‘hate’ him for

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is one of the best players in both the Gunners squad and the England setup.

However, when it comes to the best players in the Premier League and the Three Lions squad, there will always be some kind of debate raging.

Now, one of Saka’s international teammates has been asked to settle a debate that could well cause some controversy.

Over the past few years, Kalvin Phillips has played with the Arsenal star, Phil Foden, and Cole Palmer for either club or country.

The Manchester City loanee, who is currently on loan at Ipswich Town, was asked by Sky Sports to rank all three players.

Admittedly, it’s a pretty tough debate, as Saka, Foden and Palmer are all world-class players, and sadly one has to be at the bottom of said list.

Phillips made his choices and then admitted that Saka is “going to hate” him for it, going on to praise him nonetheless.

Kalvin Phillips lists Arsenal star Bukayo Saka behind Phil Foden and Cole Palmer

The defensive midfielder named Foden at the top of his list, while Palmer made the cut at number two and Saka was put third.

Admittedly, Phillips played alongside both Foden and Palmer at Man City, so he would have trained alongside them day in, day out.

That said, Phillips was nonetheless upset that the Arsenal star had to be at the bottom of the list.

“He’s going to hate me for this (putting him at number three),” he said.

“Bukayo has probably been the most consistent, I would say, out of these, over the years.

“Hopefully this year he can show again his consistency and have a really good season and I think he will do as well. He’s a lovely kid as well.”
