Report: West Ham want January deal for Juventus talisman Mario Mandzukic
Juventus outcast Mario Mandzukic is to be handed a Premier League opportunity by West Ham during the January transfer window,
The experienced striker was linked with a switch to Manchester United during the summer but nothing materialised, leaving the Croatian in limbo.
At 33-years-old the target man has fallen down the pecking order at Juventus and was this week left out of their Champions League squad.
West Ham added Sebastien Haller to their ranks during the summer transfer window. He has three goals in his first four games for the Hammers.

There is little in reserve, however with Javier Hernandez recently joining Sevilla.
Marko Arnautovic, Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll have all departed the London Stadium.
Albian Ajeti has been the back-up on the bench for the Hammers; although he hasn’t made his debut in the Premier League just yet.
Mandzukic is something of a legend in Croatia. He has 33 goals from 89 caps for the national team and has always scored goals wherever he has played his club football.
TBR Verdict
Under the stewardship of Manuel Pellegrini, there is a real sense that West Ham are on the up.
With a decent crop of new arrivals in the summer, there is now optimism that the Hammers can enter the top half this season and possibly even challenge for European football.

More must be added in January though and if the chance to add a player like Madzukic arises then it should be considered.
The 33-year-old wouldn’t be a long-term fix but he could do wonders in the dressing room for some of the club’s younger players.
Along with his experience, he would also bring goals. The target man has netted wherever he has played his football and his arrival could prove a real coup for West Ham.
