Juventus star McKennie has Instagram advice for new Liverpool man Kabak

Liverpool completed the deadline-day signing of Schalke defender Ozan Kabak on a loan-to-buy deal worth just £1.5million – and Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie has some advice for the Turkish centre-back.

Kabak, 20, has joined after long being linked with a move to the Premier League. It comes after Joel Matip was sidelined for the rest of the Premier League campaign, joining Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk on the treatment table.

Fabinho has also been missing for the last two games – leaving rookie Nat Phillips alongside Jordan Henderson. Kabak has joined for a loan fee of £1million plus £500,000 in add-ons.

There is a permanent clause inserted in the deal, too. It is believed a future fee of £18million plus future incentives will see the Turkey international make his move to Anfield a permanent one. He thanks Schalke fans on Instagram.

Kabak joins despite being a part of a Schalke side that have enormously underperformed in the Bundesliga this season, sitting bottom of the table and conceding 49 league goals in just 19 league games.

He received plenty of comments but USA and Juventus star McKennie had some advice for his former Schalke teammate. The midfielder told Kabak that it is “time to learn English”, before declaring his pride for Kabak.
