Justin Hoyte backs Arsenal move for reported target Jerome Boateng
Former Arsenal defender Justin Hoyte has backed a Gunners move for German defender Jerome Boateng this January.
The north Londoners have been linked with a move for the 2014 World Cup winner, after a season of struggle so far at the back.

The club have had real trouble keeping clean sheets throughout 2019/20, and recently lost Calum Chambers for the rest of the season thanks to a knee injury.
According to Sky Sports, the 31-year-old wants to leave and the club would be willing to accept a £12.8 million fee.
One man who reckons it’d be a good move for the Gunners, is Hoyte, who was an Arsenal player from 2002-08.

He said (): “You have to respect him for what he’s won. What a player. You can look at him as a leader of the team. All the younger players will look up to him and want to achieve what he has.
“Even the experienced players at Arsenal now can learn a lot from him.
“He’s more of an organiser [than David Luiz] and he’d be solid at the back for Arsenal.
TBR’s view Boateng a decent signing
Boateng is by no means one of Europe’s top central defenders, but a move for around £12.8 million or a loan would surely be worth it for Arsenal.

Arsenal’s defence has been so poor that the 6ft 4in Boateng could only improve it.
The star has huge experience and also has a winning mentality it’s surely a no-brainer as Hoyte suggests.
