‘Just watched it back’: Dean Smith very impressed by what Liverpool player did in the 39th minute last night

Norwich City boss Dean Smith delivered hi🅷s verdict on Liverpool’s second goal last nig🦹ht, scored by Takumi Minamino.
The Reds hosted the Canaries in the FA Cup yesterday and nobody really expected anything other than a Liverpool win. Jurgen Klopp’s men played really well and although Norwich scored a la♌te consolation goal, their victorꦓy was never in doubt.
Smith was quizzed about the 🎀gam🌊e last night and he believed that his side lost the tie in the first half.
He also claimed tha⛄t🐻 he initially blamed his defenders for allowing Minamino to score his second in the 39th minute yesterday. But, he watched it back and realised that the Liverpool man’s strike was just unbelievable.
Dean Smith: It was a hell of a strike from Takumi Minamino
Speaking to last night, Smith said: “he best team won the game. I was disappointed with the defending for the first goal, it was poor f♛rom us.
“The goal, I thought, made them a little bit comfortable and put us on the back foot a little bit, and then we ⭕conceded from a set-piece.
“I thought it was poor, ⛎again, from us defensively, but then I have just watcheꦯd it back and it is a hell of a strike from Minamino.
“We just never took our chances, in the end, to get something out of🐠 it.”

TBR View:
Minamino was in the right place at the right time for both his goals against the ♒Canaries last night but he still had to get the ball in the back of the net.
The Japan international’s second goal, in particular, was outstanding. Many experienced players have blazed their shot over 💖the ball from that position on numerous occasions in the past, but Minamino showed brilliant composure and even better technique to score h⛦is second of the game six minutes before half-time.
Minamino dese🌃rves a ton of praise for his display yesterday. He could’ve easily sไulked after not playing in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, but he didn’t. He stepped up when his manager needed him last night and delivered the goods.
It wil🐠l be interesting to see if he’ll get the nod to start against West Ham thi🧜s weekend.
