‘Just oozed class#8230; Aaron Ramsey says Arsenal released two midfielders who were just amazing
Arsenal weren’t the best team in the world in the mid-2010s, but their midfield was beautiful to watch at times.
One player who played a key part in that Arsenal midfield was Aaron Ramsey, and speaking on , he has reserved some special praise for two of his former teammates.
Ramsey was asked to build something of a dream five-a-side team made up of players he’d played with at Arsenal, and, as you can imagine, he picked both Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla.
These two would’ve been an absolute dream to play five-a-side with, and Ramsey spoke so highly of them when building his dream team.

Aaron Ramsey praises Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil
Ramsey spoke about the two midfielders who Arsenal released.
“I would go with Santi Cazorla, an amazing player. Then Mesut Ozil, a proper team player, I don’t think you appreciate how good he is until you play with him, he just oozed class, so he would be in there,Ramsey said.
Unreal
Cazorla and Ozil were two unbelievable technicians during their time at Arsenal, and the scary part is that they weren’t the only players in this mould at the Emirates at the time.
Ramsey himself was utterly fantastic, and that’s before you even mention the likes of Jack Wilshere and Thomas Rosicky.
Arsenal had so many brilliant midfielders during this era, and while they weren’t the most physical, on their day when it all clicked, they could play around any team in the Premier League and make them look like utter amateurs.
The current Arsenal midfield may be a bit more sturdy and have a bit more steel, but that midfield under Arsene Wenger was mesmerising, and when they all played their best stuff, Arsenal were the most entertaining team in England.
