Carvalho was superb for the Cottagers last term as he helped them to promotion back to the Premier League. But his form was so good that interest from top clubs was inevitable, with Liverpool eventually winning the race.
However, while Carvalho played as an attacking forward for much of last season – either wide or as a number ten – has reported how Jurgen Klopp has a different plan for Carvalho in the future. claims that while Carvalho will be used this coming season in a forward role, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp actually sees his new signing deeper into the midfield in the future.

Of course, it won’t matter long-term where Carvalho plays. As Marco Silva called it, Carvalho is an ‘incredibly talented‘ player who will surely have no problem adjusting to any position on the pitch.
Carvalho eleven times for the Cottagers last season, assisting a further eight. With Sadio Mane set to depart Liverpool this summer, the new man at Anfield might well have a bigger role to play than he might have first thought.
TBR’s View: Carvalho Is Good Enough To Shine For Liverpool Next Season
Jurgen Klopp isn’t signing you unless he rates you highly and Fabio Carvalho will have no problem settling in at Liverpool and doing the business.
We’ve seen with players like Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott that Klopp is willing to give young players a go. And with that, Carvalho will be getting chances in the first XI next season.
Of course, that long-term view of him playing in midfield is an intriguing one. Klopp will need to get into Carvalho from the off to get him used to that in the long-term. However, there is no doubt the youngster can adapt.
