Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool have an ‘exceptional’ 24-year-old in their ranks
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp spoke highly of Cody Gakpo following the Reds’ Premier League win on Wednesday night.
Anfield played host to Liverpool and Luton Town, and the visitors stunned the home crowd by taking the lead early 𝄹on in the game.
However, the Reds turned it around in the second half and went on to win convincingly, Gakpo getting on the scoresheet.
Speaking to the Liverpool after the game, Klopp was asked about the changes ꦦhe made at half time to turn the 🅷game around.

He replied: “Tactically, no. No, it was not necessary… we just asked the boys to be calmer in these moments so that we can finish off the situations up to our sജtandardsꦐ, our technical standards.
“That’s what I saw. Then 🦂the boys were all of a sudden really awake. I think Cody’s goal, exceptional, quick thinking, bam, a grenade into the box and he puts his head there. Just wonderful, everything.
“Virgil… al💙l the goals were fantastic, obviously. I liked them all. So, a really, really good game. A really special, sp♑ecial game.”
Liverpool come from behind to hammer Luton
Gakpo hadn’t made much of an impact early on in the g💫ame, often dropping a bit too deep and lookingও isolated.
However, the 24-year-old showed great awareness on 58 minutes to quickly get his ✤head onto Alexis Mac Allistඣer’s powerful delivery and send it goalwards.
The Dutchman’s goal put Liverpo🌟ol 2-1 up, just two minutes after Virgil van Dijk had headed home from another great Mac Allister d♐elivery.
Luis Diaz then put the Reds out of reach o✤n 71 minutes, getting the better of Teden Meghi and finally finding the back oꦛf the net at the ninth attempt.
Harvey Elliott added the cherry on top with an emphatic finish on his 100th appearance for the Anfield outfit, pouncing on a loo𝓰se ball to slam home.
