Jurgen Klopp says 21-year-old Liverpool player has been outstanding in training
Liverpool are in Premier League action on Monday night as they head to Champions League-chasing Aston Villa.
The Reds will hope to a🍷 strong end to the season as Ju🌱rgen Klopp’s tenure at Anfield edges closer to a bittersweet conclusion.
Liverpool are now extremely unlikely to win the title, but they also can’t slip below third ꦆplace, leaving them with little to play for except pride.
With that in mind, there’s a good chance the R🌞eds will use these last few games to give some academy talents and fringe players a chance.
One young♏ Liverpool player w♚ho has enjoyed a bright season is Jarell Quansah, who has really kicked on since making his debut earlier this season.
The 21-year-old’s debut came back in August 2023, as a substitute for Joel Matip in the 2ꦜ-1 le🦋ague win over Newcastle.
Since then, Quansah has made a further 30 competitive appearances for Liverpool, of which 25 have been🐈 starts.
Klopp, speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the Reds’ trip to ♊Villa, was eager to sing the youngster’s praises.

When asked about Quansah’s start against Tottenham last time out, Klopp told the Reds : “It’s just like that we play once a week and we just look at who looks in the best momen♛t, and Jarell is one of them.
“That’s how it is and we don’t play with three centre-halves𝄹 or whatever, so it means we have to make a decision and Jarell is training really well and we have a lot of training sessions, he is training really well.
“That doesn’t mean Ibou [Konate] or Joey [Gomez] wouldn’t train well, but Jarell trained really well and that’s how it is and that’s why I make tꦕhese kind of decisionꦜs. That’s the best situation to have, I can just sit there and look at it…
“If you have the chance to make that decision, that you can really decide on this high levꦉel who is a little bit better and in a little better moment, then you do it. That’s what you do.
“There is no rotation necessary because then the others have to play anyway, or yo﷽u have to mix it up anyway, but that’s not nec🐲essary now.
“ওThat’s why he played [and] yes, he pushed himself in a really, really good situation, that’s true.
“And I think theꦿ [Tottenham] game justified that d♎ecision. He was really good in that game as well… and again, a very, very talented player. Really, really good.”
Jarell Quansah looks set to become a Liverpool regular for years to come
Quansah is a “super-talented” player who has moꦍre than proven himself for the Reds at the highest level this season.
Even though Klopp is leaving at the end of the season, it’s likely that Arne Slot will also like what Quansah offers, and there’s a good chance he could be a Li♎verpool regular for years to come.
