‘Exceptional player’: Jurgen Klopp in awe of one Arsenal 25-year-old, says he’s ‘flying’ under Arteta

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told his pre-Arsenal press conference that he’s been really impressed with Gabriel Jesus this season.

The Brazilian was Arsenal’s big signing in the attacking department this summer and thus far, he hasn’t disappointed one bit. Goals and assists have come Jesus’ way as he blossoms as a number nine, and Liverpool boss Klopp is under no illusions as to the challenges Jesus brings to the table.

“I know City wouldn’t have sold him to every club but with Arsenal the distance was big enough…geographically. And then they did it,” Klopp said in his

“Exceptional player, you always saw that when he played for City. Gabi Jesus’ role at City was a nine, a winger, and last year everyone said City had no number nine but he played more often from the wing. So obviously now he can play his role. This weekend will be a huge test for the Gunners. If they do come through it with three points, then there really will be people taking notice of their potential as title winners.
