Jurgen Klopp approached by surprise national team who just sacked their manager
A national football association have reportedly made contact with former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on taking over the role of head coach.
The German manager left Anfield last season after nine years on Merseyside where Klopp took Liverpool🔴 to unrivalled heights in the Premier League, with the Reds winning their first league title in 30 years and a sixth UEFA Champions League trophy.
🦄As well as three domestic trophies and the FIFA Club World Cup, Klopp transformed Liverpool into one of the best teams in the world yet again with an exciting brand of football led by the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
✅Yet a move into international management could now be on the agenda for Klopp.
Klopp approached by the USA to replace Gregg Berhalter
🐽According to , Klopp has been made a top target by the USSF to replace Gregg Berhalter, who was recently sacked after America crashed out of their Copa America group despite being tipped to go far in the competition.
💮As per the report, Klopp has already been approached by the US as the Stars and Stripes look to recruit the former Liverpool manager as the new boss heading into the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a competition which will be hosted in America.
🐭With the United States having such talents as Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie and Folarin Balogun, Klopp will not be short of options to form a squad capable of doing something quite special at the next World Cup.
💦And with how relaxed international management is compared to coaching a club like Liverpool, Klopp could be open to the role given the obvious perks such a job would give the former Anfield boss.
US role could be exactly what Klopp wants after leaving Liverpool
🌳Klopp himself has stated that he wants to take a break from football having spent nine intense years at Liverpool, yet given how much the German loves the game, it might be long before he wants to return.
🙈And in managing the US, the role could be perfect for Klopp, who will likely become the highest-paid coach in international football and be free of the day-to-day pressures of managing a club team.
ౠIndeed, America hosting the next World Cup and having something of a golden generation will also play in to Klopp’s thinking, and there’s a realistic chance that the Liverpool coach could say yes to such a role.
