Jurgen Klinsmann says three Spurs players were ‘pretty much not on the field’ last night
Tottenham Hotspur icon Jurgen Klinsmann has criticised Spurs’ performance in Thursday night’s Premier League defeat to Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho’s charges have now lost their last three league games in a row.
Liverpool, Brighton and now the Blues have all claimed three points against Spurs in the past week.

Chelsea dominated for most of the game, and took the lead on 24 minutes through Jorginho’s penalty, won after Eric Dier fouled Timo Werner.
Tottenham were especially poor in the first half, and even though they improved a little after the interval, they couldn’t find a way back into the game.
The North Londoners’ attack was particularly blunt, and speaking to after the game, Klinsmann thought the front line was almost invisible.
“I have to be honest, today it’s really difficult [to defend Tottenham],” he said.
“The first half 45 minutes, Chelsea completely outplayed Spurs. They never created anything the first 45 minutes.
“Their front line with Son, Vinicius and Bergwijn were pretty much not on the field.”
TBR View:
Far from the swashbuckling, defensively compact outfit that looked up for a title challenge earlier this season, Spurs are now looking vulnerable at the back and toothless up front.
Kane’s absence is being very heavily felt, with Vinicius and Gareth Bale still not looking quite fully ready for Premier League action.
Much like a year ago, Tottenham’s season now looks at risk of collapsing, and Mourinho has a lot of work to do to get his charges back on track.
