Jude Bellingham has shared what England fans simply don’t understand about Ollie Watkins after the Aston Villa star’s winner against the Netherlands.

The 28-year-old attacker enjoyed his finest moment yet for the Three Lions as Watkins replaced Kane in the second-half for England to score a 90th-minute winner to send Gareth Southgate🌄’s side to the Euro 2024 final.

Only the second time England have made the final of the European Championship in their entire history having made it in 2021, Watkins has now etched 𝓡his way into Three Lions history with his stunning finish against the Netherlands.

Bellingham shares the sacrifices Watkins made to play for England

Speaking on coverage of the match, the Real Madrid superstꩲar shared what sort of sacrifices Watkins and other England players had to made to be at the Euros this summer, especial🌸ly those who aren’t starters for Southgate.

The England manager’s substitutes had been questioned this summer, yet last night Southgate’s decision to bring Watkins on for Kane alongside Cole Palmer was inspiring, with the Villa man securing the win for the Three Lions.

Bellingham said on Watkins’ last-minute heroics for England against the Netherlands: “Unbelievable, I’m so happܫy for him. He came on and took his opportunity, I couldn’t be prouder of him, and as a team we are buzzing for him.

“People don’t understand, you come and 🧔miss your holidays, you’re away from your family, and you’re not starting every game like you would for your club. It is difficult and it can take a lot out of you if you don’t have the right mentality, but Ollie absolutely does, and he has got his reward tonight. He’s the hero and he’s saved us.”

Watkins showed why he can become a star for England after Villa success

After an outrageous 40-goal contribution season for Villa, it’s perhaps no real surprise to Villain supporters that Watkins has ended up becoming the hero that💧 England needed with Kane faltering in the attack.

The former Brentford striker has become an undisputed star in the Premier League under Unai Emery,♉ and Watkins more than deserved his moment to shine on the international stage with England with a goal that no fan will ever forget.

Indeed, Watkins is at the peak of his powers and has shown this summer at the Euros that he can be a real threat for England, and the striker willꦇ want to show his quality in the final against Spain on Sunday.
