Journalist shares what he’s been told about Radu Dragusin as Tottenham try to agree deal
Journalist Matt Law has shared what he has been told about Radu Dragusin as Tottenham Hotspur look to push a move for the defender across the line.
Radu Dragusin has been a name Tottenham fans have been talking about for some time now. Of course, Ange Postecoglou has had to deal without both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero of late.
So it is no surprise that Spurs are prioritising a new centre-back at the start of the January transfer window. And reports in December suggested that Tottenham were ready to step up their interest in Dragusin.

Tottenham have not been the only side showing interest in the 21-year-old. Napoli want Dragusin and could look to make a player-plus-cash bid for the Romanian. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are also admirers of Dragusin.
Tottenham remain optimistic of signing Radu Dragusin
Of course, Spurs fans will be wary of getting carried away while Dragusin is not their player.
But speaking on , Matt Law suggested that Tottenham remain well placed to get a deal across the line.
“He’s certainly their top target of the window. They’ve certainly been very optimistic of getting it done. It’s a deal that Paratici has definitely been advising them on, which is probably no surprise given the country he plays in,” he said.
“I’m told Dragusin wants to sign for Tottenham. He wants to join Tottenham. I think negotiations with Genoa and 777 Partners who own Genoa have been going pretty well. There’s obviously lots of toing and froing on transfer fees and bonuses and things like that.
“I think up until now, Tottenham have been able to take their time a little bit because it’s been so clear that the player wants to join them. I know Napoli have been involved a bit. I’ve never really seen that as likely. There’s a few things there that would make that one more unlikely. And I personally still think Tottenham are on pole position.”
Spurs may be about to make real statement
It is very encouraging news that talks appear to be going well and Tottenham remain in a strong position. .
Obviously, it is too soon to say whether he can get close to the Dutchman’s level. But it says a lot that the champions of Italy and Germany are both also interested in the Tottenham target.
And while many of their Premier League rivals await their first signing of the window, it would be a massive boost for Ange Postecoglou if he could land one of his top targets in the early stages.
