Journalist shares update on Milan Skriniar amid Tottenham links

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Milan Skriniar for a long, long time now, and journalist Rudy Galetti has shared an update.

The Inter Milan defender has entered the final six months of his contract. Spurs boss Antonio Conte has always had an eye on him, having worked with him and won the Scudetto during his time at the San Siro.

A move this month is unlikely, but Tottenham could get their man in the summer.

Back in the summer transfer window, both Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain were heavily linked with a move to sign Milan Skriniar, who had entered the final year of his contract.

GFFN even reported that Kylian Mbappe was promised Skriniar would be signed.

No move materialised in the end, but just 10 days ago, Ben Jacobs revealed on that Tottenham and PSG are both still interested in signing the defender, who has been branded as ‘monumental’.

However, the journalist claimed that the centre-back would rather join the French champions over Spurs.

Galetti now has made a completely different claim. He says Skriniar hasn’t yet signed a new contract at Inter Milan because he’s waiting to see if Spurs will make him an offer.

The journalist said on , as quoted by : “It will take a few days to decide his future. He’s wasting time to understand how possible a possible transfer to Tottenham is, a club looking for a central defender.

“The English also like Kim and Bastoni; the Slovak is more attractive because of his expiring contract. It will take a few more days to know the future at Milan.”

TBR View:

Tottenham’s defensive frailties were put on display once again last night.

A Conte side conceding four goals in a single half is unheard of, but Spurs’ shocking defending made that happen last night as Manchester City came from behind to win 4-2.

Spurs need help at the back if they are to progress to the next level, and a world-class centre-back like Skriniar would be an excellent addition to their squad. The fact that the Slovakian will be available on a free transfer makes him an even more attractive option.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out in the coming months, but if Tottenham can get Skriniar, they should.
