Journalist says Tottenham could sign ‘elite’ player for a bargain price
Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a new striker is ongoing.
Ever since selling Harry Kane꧅ this time last year, Spurs have needed a new striker, and with the summer transfer window open, Tottenham could finally make their move for a new attacker.
A number of players have been linked, but perhaps the most prominent rumour over the past 18 months has been regarding Jonathan David.
💜Indeed, the Lille striker has been heavily linked with Tottenham for some time now, and speaking on the London is Blue Podcast, Ben Jacobs has claimed that Spurs are still a team to keep an eye on, stating that David is available for a bargain fee.

Jacobs shared what he knows about the ‘’ striker.
ꦫ“As far as strikers are concerned, the most experienced name with pedigree at the moment is Jonathan David who is available at a steal,” Jacobs said.
🧔“I’d keep an eye on Spurs as well and I’m told that Lille will accept well under £30m, around €30m instead of pounds, so around £25m, so Chelsea could be one to watch there.”
David would be a great signing
ꩵAt just £25m, David would be a fantastic signing for any team in the Premier League.
ꦛThe Canadian could genuinely do a job for any team in the country, whether he’s a star at a mid-table club, a starter for a team like Tottenham or a rotation option for one of the title contenders.
⛎£25m isn’t a huge fee in this day and age, and at the age of just 24, this is still a player who has plenty of room to improve and provide a serious amount of sell-on value.
🍸Spurs would be wise to go out and get David for that sort of fee, and as Jacobs says, a £25m move for the North American would be an absolute steal.
